A Passion Becomes a Way of Life

Nick and I had the pleasure of working with Brad & Kelly Clore on a segment for WEDU a few weeks ago. They contacted us to to be a part of the third season of Arts Plus, a show that showcases local artists and craftsmen on Florida's Gulf Coast. Here's our little segment, it aired on the Season 3 Premiere of Arts Plus, Thursday Feb, 6th on WEDU.

LongLine Skateboards at Localtopia 2014

Nick and I had an AWESOME time at Localtopia on Saturday Feb 1st! Olga and the Keep Saint Petersburg Local crew did an incredible job putting on the event. We met so many cool people and made a lot of great connections. Olga and her crew even created a "Skate Village" where all the local skateboard related business could hang out and be together! We were right by Local Longboard Co, Freshly Squeezed, and Schoolyard Skatepark. The cool guys at Schoolyard Skatepark even setup a half pipe for the local skaters to shred.

We can't thank Olga, the Keep Saint Petersburg Local crew, and all of friends, family, and fellow St. Pete locals for helping make Saturday such a rad day! We will definitely be back for next years Localtopia.

Our online launch delayed a day, thanks to Winter Storm Leon.

Alright guys, here's the situation, right now I'm sitting in a hotel room in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina... it's 25 degrees outside and everything is covered in a thick layer of frozen ice and snow. The plane that was supposed to get me to St. Pete yesterday, has been grounded and I am stuck 600 miles away from home. All thanks to a Winter Storm named Leon.

(Insert heavy sigh here....)

This is a tough pill to swallow, because we were supposed to open our online shop to all our email subscribers at 8am this morning. Due to things I can not change, like being snowed in, we have to delay the VIP launch until tomorrow morning, January 31st at 8am. (Going on the notion that I can fly home today...)

Since our email subscribers get 24 hours of early access to shop the store before the general public, we have to delay the public launch of the online shop until Saturday, February 1st at 8am.

This is nowhere near ideal, because no ones wants to push the launch of their new business back a day, however, as an entrepreneur I have learned that you have to embrace change and adapt accordingly. I've also learned that nothing is possible without the support and encouragement of the people around you. Nick and I are so thankful to have such an awesome community that supports our dream! You are the reason we have worked so hard to make this launch happen. You are the reason we pushed through those long nights and tough times and I can't thank you enough for standing behind us.

When the online shop opens, we will have 11 awesome handcrafted skateboards for sale along with some LongLine apparel and swag. If you haven't signed up for the early VIP launch, you still can at signup.longlineskateboards.com. This gives you access to shop for 24 hours before the general public!

We can't thank you enough for all your support, encouragement and patience.

Sincerely,
Nick + Kelli Lambiase
Founders of LongLine Skateboards

The LongLine shop opens Friday January 31st!

Nick and I are happy to announce the public launch of LongLine Skateboards' online shop Friday January 31st at 8am!

Since all of our boards are individually handcrafted, and not mass-produced, we will only have a limited number of boards available for purchase at any given time. In order to increase your chances of snagging on of these cool cruisers, we recommend you sign up for our VIP launch, because we are opening up the online store 24 HOURS EARLY to all our VIP subscribers!

If you want to shop in person we will be at Localtopia on Saturday February 1st in downtown St. Pete! We'll be part of the "skate village" along with some other skate vendors! It should be a good time!

LongLine got featured on Bay News 9

Last week Bay News 9 contact us and wanted to interview Nick and I about LongLine. They came out and talked to us about them for a few, got some footage of us working on the boards and even skating a bit. The interview started airing this morning and will play through today. You can see the write up here. This is a super humbling experience and I can't express how thankful we are for all the community support. This is only the beginning of things to come for us and we couldn't be happier!

Enter your email in the footer to get notified when the online shop opens in January. If you signup, we'll give you 10% off your first purchase!
